Today I will be reviewing my August Julep Maven Box; but first, a little info about the Maven program:
Julep’s Maven program is a customizable monthly subscription box service specializing in nail polish and other nail care items but now have a growing line of body, skincare and cosmetic items as well [some really excellent items, in my opinion]
The cost is: 24.99 per month OR 19.99 a month with a 3 month paid subscription (Become a Maven through my link and your introductory box is free. ($50.00 value) -There is a luxe version as well in the subscription options category
What you receive: $40+ worth of polish and product that is completely customizable each month.

You earn them each month you take a box, at anniversaries and when you refer friends. You can easily redeem them for free boxes and additional products.
My August Maven Collection:
This month I chose the pre-curated Bombshell collection which included:
Mari-A Peony linear liquid holographic nail polish
Sophia-A Vibrant Lapis Créme nail polish
Skip the Brush in Moonlit Sand-A Jumbo Colour Stick for a Luminous Glow (choice of 4 colors)
I then chose to take advantage of adding 3 discounted add ons items:
Nail Decals in Black Chinle Print
Lizzy-Cappucino Creme Nail Polish
Oxygen Performance Top Coat (my very favorite top coat, hands down)
I received these items as a gift for opting to purchase 3 optional add-ons:
Lee-A Spitfire Red Creme Nail Polish
Mini Flash Tattoo Sheet
I paid a total of $28.98, shipped for this collection and it has a value of $110.00!
Below are some color swatches and mani examples:
These examples were done using one coat of nail polish and one coat of the oxygen performance top coat.
This example is several swipes of the color stick on my arm.
I really enjoyed this collection! (as you can see) I was really impressed with the performance and coverage of these particular Julep polish colors. They are definitely 4 of my favorites. The decals and mini flash tattoos were a fun little additional to easily dress up a simple mani. The color stick is easy to use and blend and adds a nice bronzy, shimmery glow to cheekbones or wherever applied, layers easily. I have been using the Oxygen Performance top coat for some time now and I absolutely love it. It has an appearance similar to gel, dries super quickly and really locks down your mani. The only issue I have with it is that it seems to dry up a bit quickly and get a little too gooey to use before it is all used up. (I guess it would depend on how often you use it.)
Verdict: Great Collection this month and a great Value!
