For those of you that are new to the game:

Ipsy is a monthly subscription service.  Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month.

I have been a member for more than 2 years and I absolutely love it.  I have discovered so many excellent products through Ipsy!  I may not always love everything I receive but for only 10.00 a month it is such a fun surprise to look forward to each month!  Ipsy spotlights numerous brands each month and you will generally receive something from 5 of them!  In addition to the products received you will get discount codes from most brands…even the ones that you do not receive!  They also now offer curated sets and other products throughout the month that can be purchased at a special price!  I LOVE THESE!  Another perk is the point system.  You can review your bag and items each month to save points for additional products!

*NEW* A couple of months back Ipsy also added giveaways to their site!  Every month, you can win AMAZING hauls from their Glam Bag partners..and let me tell you there are SO many great ones this month…Pixie, GlamGlow, Tre’StiQue, NYX  and many more.  I can’t wait to play along on instagram and enter all of them.!

The Goods:

First Aid Beauty

FAB (First Aid Beauty) Ultra Repair Cream: 1.0 0z Deluxe Sample Size

If you are not yet familiar with FAB and you have any kind of skin issue; whether it is simply extremely dry, parched skin or more serious issues such as: psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, irritant eczema, allergic eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, keratosis pilaris etc…you should definitely give this moisturizer a shot.  I already buy this product by the 6 oz tub and slather it all over my damp body post bathing/showering.  This product transformed my skin, stops the itching and keeps it at bay.  It’s a no frills, scent free product and the first product I’ve found that actually works for my many skin issues.  Glad to have received a travel sized tube!

Octavio

Octavio Argan Oil: 1oz Deluxe Samples

Octavio Argan Oil is a deep penetrating french Argan Oil.  I am already an avid user of Argan oil in my hair so I am always happy to receive more. (I go through quite a lot of it having long thick hair)  This one is a bit different then the others I use.  It doesn’t have that similar scent that all of my others have.  It is kind of a light, fresh, almost baby shampoo like scent; very pleasant.  It is also a bit thicker than others so it is less messy getting to your hair from your hands.  Otherwise it works as any Argan oil does; lending your hair to quicker drying time and smoothing and transforming your parched strands in to something shiny and manageable!

Elizabeth Mott Queen

Elizabeth Mott Queen of the Fill: 0.14 oz (full sized) $20.00

I’ve never really used or heard much about Elizabeth Mott products prior to receiving this product.  I was really excited to receive a brow product in my bag as that is my one must have, can’t go without product and not something you receive often in subscriptions.  This product comes in two shades Light/Medium (shown above) and Medium/Dark.  I would describe the light/medium as made for blondes as it is pretty taupe and not all that dark.  The product is a tinted, buildable brow gel for sculpting and grooming the brows.  Unfortunately for me and my light, sparse brows the product is just not enough to use on its own.  It will not adhere well to the super sparse areas lending me to still require a pencil or other brow filler.  It does help to keep them in place and seals them, as with any brow gel and the lighter color does a nice job of kind of ‘highlighting’ my post groomed brows giving them a more natural look/color.

trèStiQue Mini Matte Lip Crayon in Nantucket Nude: (3 minis are 32.00)

I feel like I am always searching for the perfect nude that compliments my skin tone, lip tone, preference etc.  The trèStiQue Nantucket Nude shade is gorgeous, and quite possibly, the perfect nude.  It’s not too pale, too brown, too pink or peach, just a nice, neutral nude I feel would compliment anyone’s skin tone.  The texture and finish of the lip crayon is also impressive:  Described as a matte finish, it is more of a satiny smooth matte, not so harsh that those of us with lips on the drier side can’t pull it off.  This product is from the mini’s collection so they are small and portable, which is the goal with the whole TrèStiQue line: getting the most out of each product.  The full sized products are dual ended, have magnetic closures and product changing capabilities, lending you to customize each singular product to fit your needs and create an entirely portable ‘look’ that’s fun and easy to use while taking up very little space!  I look forward to trying some of their face products with the full sized capabilities.  Take a look here to learn more about the TrèStiQue sytem.

NYXNYX Cosmetics

NYX Cosmetic/Ipsy Collab Eyeshadow Trio: Full sized Trio

Already a huge NYX Cosmetics fan I really dig this little collab with ipsy.  It’s a great little trio for a good smokey eye look or a bronzey eye look.  The colors have great pigment (as shown on my hand with one swipe each) and are intensified and longer lasting with use of a good shadow primer.  The front clasp of the little compact is a cute little bow.  Cute product.

Thanks so much for reading!

Great post! I’m a recent subscriber to ipsy and was so happy to discover trust fund beauty nail polish through them! When you mentioned ipsy’s special sets/items that they offer based on the products in the glam bags that month, I totally jumped at the TFB trio set!
