Happy Valentine’s Day Weekend everyone! I am personally delighted to have received my February must have box; brimming with Valentine’s Day gift-worthy goods…for ME! It’s no secret that I love PSMH, anticipating what the next box will bring, digging through my box upon arrival, trying everything, finding places in my home for others. It is simply stated: a really fun box, with a little of everything. This particular box is excellent and one of my favorites.
February Inspiration:
Adoring . HEARTS . Sexy . Indulgent . Confident
(This is a photo from the included fold out card and does not include photos of ‘the special extras’)
If you are new to the game Popsugar Must Have is a Monthly Lifestyle Subscription Box service, delivered to your door monthly for $39.95 (free shipping) and is valued at over $100.00. *They also curate several 1 time purchase, luxury, limited edition boxes that are fabulous!
Each Must Have box is filled with the best in fashion, beauty, home, fitness, food and more; curated by Popsugar Editor in Chief Lisa Sugar. I personally adore this box and look forward to receiving it each month. They may not hit it right on the mark, every time, for everyone but most of the time, for me; they do a really good job. I really enjoy receiving such a wide variety of products in one sub box and I love the anticipation of such! I generally like and use all of the products I receive yet in the event something does not suit me it is always something of quality that I can gift it to another. PSMH works with many good, quality, relevant and on trend brands, many of them high end so it’s a great box for receiving tried and true products/brands as well as new products and up and comers! 2 words: Beauty Blender!! 🙂 Thinking of taking the plunge? Check it out here!
The Box:
The Goods:
Tilo Heart Print Scarf: Suggested Retail $125.00
PSMH is definitely known for including scarves and I must say I have quite a collection of beautiful, unique and high end versions thanks to Popsugar to which I am quite pleased. I really love this super soft, light material which is 100% Modal. The sporadic spray of white hearts on the gray fabric makes the heart print more subtle when worn and the scarf size is long and wide so it can be worn in many ways. You can purchase Tilo scarves from Saks and other higher end department stores but this particular scarf is exclusive and unavailable for purchase. Similar scarves with the same rough edge and material go for $135.00-$15.00 at Saks. You can read more about the company and check out their various collections @tiloscarves.com.
Beautycounter Nourishing cleansing Balm: Sugg. Retail: $50.00
I have not tried any products from Beautycounter prior to this but the product looked luxurious, nicely packaged and I like that included the soft muslin cloth and mini spatula. [I browsed the Beautycounter site to find this product and found what I am 99% sure to be the same product but listed at $80.00 as opposed to $50.00. I did not see where it mentioned coming with the cloth or spatula and did not see anywhere that mentioned how many ounces the product was so I can only assume this 1.5 oz version we received is a special set and likely a smaller size of the cleansing balm than the version listed on their site.] I have used other hot cloth/muslin cloth cleaners but they were nothing like this formula. If you have ever opened a jar of coconut oil and scooped some out; this is exactly what the look, feel and consistency of this product is comparable to; as is the way it almost instantly melts in to a thin oil on contact with your skin. This product is composed of a Myriad of fruit, flower and nut oils (no coconut) and formulated without Parabens, Phthalates, Synthetic Fragrance, PEGS, SLS or Secrets. I consistently worry about my skin care products causing breakouts but right now my skin is alarmingly dry, patchy even, so I decided to give this really natural, said to be very moisturizing product a try. Smooth product on to remove makeup etc, wipe off with the included damp hot muslin cloth until clean and rinse with cold water. (snap those pores shut) 🙂 It’s a nice luxurious face wash and I think it will definitely help my dry skin more over time. As long as it does not break my skin out it will be an excellent product! Only time will tell…and if it’s a win, super cool because I received a 20% off purchase code!
Fringe Studio Hello Beautiful Square Tray: Sugg. Retail $14.00
This Kiln Fired glass tray is really pretty and good sized (for a glass tray) I love the white, royal blue with gold writing motif and simply love these little glass trays placed around my home: vanities, desks, entryway, coffee tables…etc. They are great for displaying a favorite cosmetic product, jewelry or a catch all for rings, candy even! They also make nice little props! 🙂 Nordstrom carries many of Fringe Studio’s items, other similar glass trays for $14.00 but I could not find this one on their site. You can request a catalog from Fringe Studio’s site. I did find this particular tray available via shoptiques but it’s pricier ($21.00)
Back/Bottom of Tray
JewelryStorm Endless Arrow Ring: Sugg. Retail $28.00
I love dainty little rings such as this one and the open arrow design is really cute. I was really excited to find a pretty little boxed ring in my February box! The ring is gold in color with crystal accents. It is designed to look like an arrow wrapped around your finger and open in the very center. I know at some point I filled out some sort of questionnaire when I initially signed up for PSMH while I cannot remember all of the questions I do know there were some that pertained to sizing and questions regarding jewelry so I am not certain if that was taken in to consideration when sending this ring or if it was simply deemed an adjustable ring. This ring fit my left hand perfectly but b/c I am married that is basically irrelevant. 😉 I very carefully pulled it apart from the top to make it a bit bigger in order for it to fit my right hand. This particular ring is currently sold out on the site but you can sign up for the waitlist. There are many other really cute styles though. I particularly like several of their ‘knot’ style rings. I will likely pick a couple out with my included 30% off first order code.
Foodstirs Heart Cookie Mix: Sugg. Retail $12.95
I LOVE it when we get a ‘food item’ that is something cute like this. I love having items like this around my kitchen to enjoy on a rainy day. This set will be particularly fun to make with my 4 year old. Today, being Valentine’s day will be a great day for such a project with my little love ❤ (I’ll add a photo when they are finished) I’d not heard of this company prior, but it’s pretty cute. You can purchase kits singularly or do a subscription service. PSMH included a 50% off code so I think I may try it out and see how I like it!
Hard at Work
Finished Product. Note the discrepancy with the finished product sprinkles and the included pink sprinkles. My dear child somehow misplaced them from point A to point B so I had to resort to using some we already had. I found them the next day. 🙂
Victoria’s Secret Coconut Milk Hydrating body Lotion: Sugg. Retail $18.00
VS has a lot of ‘not so great’ bath and body type products but I like this line. This particular lotion has a nice light scent and not the strong, chemical like sun-tan lotion coconut…and it’s actually moisturizing; plus, you can bundle the products in this line and save: 2/$25.00 3/$30.00.
Special Extras:
Victoria’s Secret VSX Sport Socks: Sugg. Retail $6.50 (a 3 pack in $19.50 or 6 pack for $29.50)
I’ve not tried any of the VSX (VS Sport) socks yet but I am constantly losing gym socks and these look to be comfy and of good quality, cushioned heel and toe, banded arch for a better fit…nice looking too. Great little extra, in my book.
Victoria’s Secret Rewards card: Value $20.00 ea.
This gift card, along with the lotion were the spoilers for this box so I was happy already, prior to seeing the rest. As an Angel Forever any money I can save on things I do not need is a plus! This can be used just as a gift card but can not be stacked with other offers with the exception of Angel rewards (I’ve noticed a lot of people inquiring of this) excellent for me as I have $30.00 in Angel rewards on the way. Also; for some reason, I received two of these. I’m not sure why but I’ve decided it is because I am the chosen one. 😉 Anyone else receive two of these?
This was such a great box. I think everything in it looks great together and I feel it was well curated. I love how it has such a Valentine theme without any cheesy red hearts or chocolates and how I felt as though someone sent me a really great, well thought out Valentine’s Day gift when I opened it. ❤ This box had a value of nearly $300.00 which is amazing and I have been thoroughly enjoying every product in the box this Valentine’s Day Weekend! Way to Go, Popsugar!
