Hey everyone! Welcome to another Glam Bag review!
This month’s theme is: Pretty in Ipsy Pink
The bag is SO cute. I totally dig the pixelated Valentine look plus it feels pretty nifty. I’ll definitely use this one for something.
Below is a shot of my February bag:
Ipsy is a monthly subscription service. Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month.
I have been a member for more than 2 years and I absolutely love it. I have discovered so many excellent products through Ipsy! I may not always love everything I receive but for only 10.00 a month it is such a fun surprise to look forward to each month! Ipsy spotlights numerous brands each month and you will generally receive something from 5 of them! In addition to the products received you will get discount codes from most brands…even the ones that you do not receive! This months’ discounts include but are not limited to: Dr. Brandt, Chella, Skinfix, Trustfund Beauty, pixi…the discounts range between 10% -50% off purchase (averaging at 20-25%) and are occasionally a dollar amount. They sometimes include a gift with purchase.
Ipsy also offers curated sets and other products throughout the month that can be purchased at a special price! I LOVE THESE!
Another perk is the point system. You can review your bag and items each month to save points for additional products!
Ipsy also has a giveaways section. Every month, you can win AMAZING hauls from their Glam Bag partners..and let me tell you there are SO many great ones each month…This month there are contest/giveaways from Chella, Smashbox, Trust Fund Beauty, Skinfix, and many more!
So go ahead, take the beauty quiz, get your first Glam Bag, watch the videos, and create your own!
The Goods:
Chella Passionate Pink Lip Pencil: Product is full size $18.00
I LOVE Chella. They happened to be one brand I had not heard of prior to Ipsy which I became a big fan of. I can not tell you how many Ivory Lace Highlighter pencils I have went through; a product that has become a part of my every day routine. Their brow kits are really nice too! When I first glanced at this pencil I assumed it was going to be a bright red lip color [due to the packaging] but it is not, it’s a bright-ish, but totally wearable shade of pink. This pencil is super smooth and satin-y, glides on easily and makes defining and filling your lips a breeze. I love the look and feel of the finished product. It has great staying power as well. I was surprised to find it still intact following dinner which began with soup.
Arm Swatch
Naked Cosmetics Single Color Mica Pigments in sierra Nevada #05: Product is full size $14.99
This is a really nice lose pigment. I really do not mess with these lose pigments much but this shade is really very pretty and this brand looks really fun for those that fancy themselves a cosmetic mixologist. If I was still quite young & had the time for that sort of thing, I could totally get in to this. I’ll definitely use this though. It looks fabulous on.

Applied like a liner with the Luxie Flat Brush Below
Luxie Rose Gold Flat Definer Brush: $12.00
This is the second brush I have received in this series of Luxie brushes and I love them. This one is great for lining and ‘building and eyelid’ I will use it a lot. Great quality brushes, pretty to look at and cruelty free!
NEW Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil: Sample Vial Full size is $42.00
This is the newest installment in the Smashbox primer family and the only one I’ve yet to try. I’m glad I was able to get this sample to try as it is one I would not have purchased myself prior to trying. I’m still terrified of layering an oil primer under foundation and clogging up the pores of my hormonal breakout prone skin but if you use just a small drop or two it absorbs really quickly in to dry skin. I used it under my eyes, which I really liked (for helping makeup and concealer stay and not crease as much) and on my patchy dry spots. It did help smooth those areas for makeup which was nice. I’m not sure how my skin will react to its usage in the long run but I plan to keep using it for now.
Jersey Shore Spa Lip & Hand Polish: Product is full size $25.00
This is an all natural lip and hand scrub/polish that is made from all natural ingredients. It taste nice when used on the lips and smells great. The scent is Vanilla Bean but reminds me of cinnamon buns. Yum. It can technically be used on any part of the body. and contains Jojoba and vitamin E oils for anti-aging properties which makes it work well for exfoliating any really rough/dry areas of the body.
I loved my February bag! The bag itself is totally cute and I received all really great products that came to a crazy high value for an Ipsy bag (over $70.00!) What was your Ipsy favorite this month?
