Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Eye Shadow Collection

It’s Peanut Buttah Jelly time; hey ya, hey ya….juuuuust kiiiiidding!  This little treat just won’t stay in stock, will it!?  I can see why: These little tin palettes from Too Faced cosmetics are fun as it is but when you take one of the most coveted shades (peanut butter) and then build an entire palette around it, add the adorably quirky, fun packaging and the scent of peanut butter cups; it’s bound to be a hit!

I am a huge Too Faced fan as it is.  Way back when, when I was first getting in to higher end makeup and trying new things, my husband purchased for me, several of the Too Faced ‘The Quickie Chronicles’ palettes.  Who else remembers these?  They were really cute and fun with pin up style prints on the packaging and contained 3 shadows, a blush and 4 glosses.  I honestly can’t remember the year these first came out but it had to be 10+ years ago that I first got mine.  Too faced palettes have clearly come a long way since then with the old packaging of sturdy, glossy cardboard to the metal/tin versions of today…not to mention the quality; but one thing that remains is what a fun and innovative brand it is. To the Palette!

Now that we can all clearly see how adorable the palette is; let’s talk more about the content.

The palette is in a sturdy tin, like all of the others and has a mirror.  It also comes with a fold out card with instructions to create a few different looks with the included shades. The palette contains 9 shades; 4 matte, 5 shimmer.  Upon opening you immediately catch a whiff of the palettes’ scent; a cocoa similar to other chocolate themed Too Faced products, spiked with a hint of peanut butter.  It’s like a peanut butter cup!  Because I do not own the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar collection that originated the ‘peanut butter’ shade; I decided I must have this palette.  I must say; it’s not what I expected the shade to look like but I love it as I do every single other shade in this palette.  These shades and the formula are really great: smooth, velvet(y), most went on almost creamy.  The pigment was excellent and the only shade that seemed a bit powdery and in need of layers was the extra creamy, which went on my actual eye much better than on my arm swatch.  The shades stayed put throughout the day with very little fading.  For me, this little gem was everything I wanted it to be and I definitely recommend it to both Too Faced fans and newbies alike.

Hi! The Palette is $36.00 (USD) -right now, it is only available at two places: The brand site: toofaced.com (it just went back in stock today) & Ulta (still out of stock) toofaced’s site only mentions free US shipping on 50. I’m not certain about Ulta and their shipping; where to/how much. sorry. 😦

I checked with Ulta, they don’t have international shipping. IDK about Too Faced. Beautybay.com has Too Faced, but a limited selection. They have free international shipping. I didn’t know if you knew of another site like that one. Thanks for the info. 😀💙

I know that there are other sites such as that, that ship world wide..beauty superstore type places. I found a list of some online: onlineshoppingfreak.com I’ve been trying to think of others but I always have trouble finding a couple non US products I like as well….so just gave up :/ I think this product being such a limited release it won’t be available at a place such as that; at least for some time. Where is it that you are located?

I am in Croatia. I was born in The States, but moved here. I have a tough time getting many products. 😞 Shipping is sooo expensive. There are some great sites! Beatybay, Feelunique, allcosmeticswholesale, etc… I just sent a DM to beautybay asking if they will be getting the palette. BTW do you know if Makeup Geek shadows can go in a MAC palette? I like the construction much better than the zpalette. I want to get some shadows, but I need to know which palette to get for them. Thanks!

I know. shipping can be crazy. I believe feelunique was one of those listed by that site I sent you. I will have to check some of those places out for products I have trouble finding in the US. I have yet to try any of the Makeup Geek products. I know that with the MAC products it gives their pan specs (1.3 g / 0.04 US oz), but not dimensions…that fit in their palettes and palette inserts; maybe makeup geek gives weight etc as well?

I didn’t mean the size, the pan size is the same. I meant how do I find out if it will magnetize the same in a MAC palette like a Z palette? I don’t have a Z palette, but my MAC blushes have magnets on the back of them. So I think the palette itself isn’t made of magnet, rather the powders are magnetnized. How is it with the z palette? Thanks!!

Ahh gotcha. I’m not sure, honestly; its always been my assumption that b/c (almost all) makeup pans are metal that the palettes themselves had magnets. Zpalettes definitely do -I just looked at the mac Palettes: Per the reviews they are also magnetic, but not very strong. Most say they do not work well and they needed to buy magnetic sheets to place in theirs…so the metal pans would stay better.

Aha, I just tried to put my Inglot shadow in my MAC palette and it didn’t stick. I think it would be better to put a magnet on each shadow, blush or contour pan not on the palette. Thanks so much! 😀💜💙

haha, I hear ya. I constantly add things to my cart(s) and wait, weeks even, to make a decision, see if the novelty wears off, read some reviews…but with this one I knew I was getting it. Missed its first release and got the email of its re-stock, ordered immediately. 🙂

I love, love, love it. The shades are great and they really are quite different than my many, many other palettes. I say go for it, totally worth it. I’m excited for you. hehe (Hopefully they re-stock it soon)

I wish I could afford higher end brands lol. I’d definitely choose between too faced and tarte 🙂

YES! Too Faced and Tarte are favorites of mine as well. -So many palettes out all of the time. It’s hard not to automatically just want all of these high end palettes with their pretty packaging and shades. You can only use so many though, right? It’s nice that the drugstore brands have come out with so many palettes lately and some of them are really quite good.

I know! It’s very tempting to spend that much on something mainly because it just looks so pretty!!! But I agree, drugstore brands are definitely stepping their game up 🙂
