How my blog began…let’s see; well, I’m one of those types with a mind that never rests. Some days I feel as though I need to take time out of my day simply in order to think all of the thoughts I need to think.  Does that make sense? 😉  When the day is done and it’s time for me to sleep, [tidbit, I never can] I’ve found that writing things down helps me feel as though I’ve emptied my head some and cleared some space to relax a bit.  I also do a lot of reading.  A LOT of reading.  So, one day while I was reviewing products in my head, as I often did/do, I thought; why haven’t I started a blog?  And also; how the hell does one start a blog?  I decided it was a much better outlet than rambling info off to my husband who knows way more about all of this than he would prefer to (though it comes in handy for gift giving) and this little blog was born.  I had no clue what I was doing and my original blog format could not even be properly viewed mobile.  Luckily, I realized this pretty quickly and changed everything up to a better format.  My little blog still has a long way to go but I am pleased with how far it has come.  I have a lot of future plans for it and hope I can meet all of my goals!  Huge thank you to all of my loyal followers who constantly encourage me and interact with me, compliment me etc…it truly makes all of the difference; which brings me to my first piece of advice to new bloggers:

It’s easy to get discouraged in the beginning.  Don’t be.  There are so many amazing bloggers out there, do not be afraid to reach out, seek advice any time you need it.  I had so much help from so many amazing people in the blogging community, in the very beginning and still ask advice to this day.  Most bloggers are happy to help you achieve the success you desire for your blog.  Interact with people, don’t be a ghost blogger.  Engaging others gives you a personality, not just a name.  People want to know about the human behind the blog!  🙂

YES!!! Thank you! I couldn’t have done it without awesome people like yourself. It’s easy to get discouraged when your stats aren’t booming and you feel stuck as to how to grow..but meeting people along the way with positive feedback and words of encouragement makes it all worth while! 🙂 xx
