Today I have for you a brand new Subscription box! Pink Seoul is a K-beauty (Korean Beauty) company that just launched in March. I have been excited about reviewing this box since I first laid eyes on it. This particular beauty sub boasts many great aspects in addition to the fabulous products that they send each month. What sealed it for me is your ability to customize the box based on your skin (and they actually follow it, it’s not just a mere ‘suggestion’ like with Birchbox and Ipsy) So; no more receiving strange shades that don’t fit your skin color, products for oily skin when yours is dry..etc etc. On top of the customizing option for each box they also have several different box options to chose from, including the popular bi-monthly choice with full sized products. (this is what I currently subscribe to.) They also have a monthly mask box (not just sheet masks) and a box tailored to 35+ (I think this is a first, right?) All excellent options! Commitment phobe? They also have some nice one time purchase, specially curated boxes and many individual items that have been spotlighted in their boxes.

The Box:
Totally in love with my very first box; tons of excellent products that actually work for MY skin! It’s a great mix of routine skin care items plus fun things to try and plenty of masking options. One of the things I really loved about my box is that they sent cards that give any info you may have been missing pertaining to the proper skin care routine to follow, the order in which to do everything and why (I was doing it wrong) Plus, every product they send has detailed info with how and when to use it as well. Now, I wasn’t a total stranger to K-Beauty and its concepts. I’ve loved many Tony Moly and other Korean Brands’ products for some time and frequently use sheet masks; but, more often then not the english on the back of these products is very minimal and basic (if there is any at all) so all of the extra information provided by Pink Seoul was quite helpful and following the steps in order definitely increased the benefit of many of the products!
Below are the included info cards:
The products:
Skinfood Black Sugar Mask: Full size $14.70
This is said to be a holy grail product in the K-Beauty world and I thought it was pretty fabulous my self. This is a sugar scrub designed for all skin types with mineral-enriched Brazilian Black Sugar to promote radiant skin. This scrub has a scent that is citrusy clean, was not too harsh and left my skin feeling squeaky clean and smooth. I’ve been using it a few times a week post cleansing prior to any other treatments. It is definitely my favorite new face scrub. I think the packaging is really cute & natural looking too.
Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner: Full size $16.95
This is another product I am really happy I received. This toner contains Aloe, BHA & Snail Mucin (I know, alarming if you are new to K-beauty but skin loves the stuff, mine especially) this ingredient combo helps with troubles skin & is especially good for oily & combo skin. I’ve found that it help to hydrate my dry areas a bit more but is helping to clear up my problem areas. Before I did use a toner but it was just sort of an afterthought product that I used mainly to make sure there were no traces of anything left on the cotton pad after cleansing. This version is aloe based and water free giving skin an extra dose of hydration without diluting the other ingredients. This is to be applied post cleansing or post cleanse and scrub, if you are using one.
Etude House Missing you Hand Cream: Full Size $5.90
These cute little hand creams contain shea butter, olive oil & a natural mix of herbs. It’s just your pretty basic, nicely scented day time hand cream and works to banish that chalky feeling from excessive hand washing. Products like these are where the ‘collector’ in me comes out. They are too adorable not to want to set around your bed/bath or pull out of your bag to perk up your mood. Because they are inexpensive too, it’s fun to have a few. I think they’d make the cutest party favors! Keeping my 4 year old out of them is the real challenge. 😉
Lindsay Modeling Masks (Gold): Full Size $5.95
This was my first Rodeo with modeling masks and it was really cool in a mad scientist type of way. Mask comes as a powder inside the cup above with an included spatula for mixing and applying. (You can see the tiny little gold flecks in it.) Simply add water to the fill line, mix, apply everywhere on the face that a typical mask goes. Mix and apply quickly as this is a rubber like mask and it will begin to solidify in the tub if you try to apply it too meticulously. Slap it on your face quickly and cover every area. It doesn’t have to look uniform to work. I was really impressed how much better my skin looked immediately following this mask. My skin was super smooth, tight and shiny, (in a good way) after removing the rubber sheet and I was sad that the only place I had to go for the evening was to bed. I would definitely recommend this mask before an event. (after testing it once, of course) I’ve only used this once so whether it has effects over time, I can’t say, but it is definitely an instant gratification product. This particular gold mask is designed to help with hydration, elasticity, clarity and evening of the skin tone. I think it really delivered.

On muh face. Cute, right? 😉
The Sheet Masks
My box came with a trio of different masks. I’ve only had the time to try one from this trio so I will review that one and provide a bit of info on the other two.
SNP Gold Collagen Ampoule Mask: $3.00
The crazy key ingredient in this mask is pig skin collagen, another wild but popular ingredient in K-beauty products. It also contains 24K Gold. I chose to use this mask on a weekend evening in conjunction with the full on suggested beauty routine; so I double cleansed, sugar scrubbed, applied my toner and popped this on just prior to hopping in to a tub full of lush Karma bubbles & my kindle (Im a rebel with my devices) After about 20 minutes I got out, removed the mask and patted the excess in to my skin. I then followed with additional treatments and the sampled snail bee steam cream in place of my moisturizer. It’s a super long routine, I know, but it’s also the best my skin has looked in ages. I woke up hydrated without any trace of the pesky dry patches I constantly battle. Of all the sheet masks I have tried this was one of my very favorites!
One of the tips I learned from this box:
Masks are meant to be stored flat so the essence is evenly distributed on all masking areas.
Nature Republic Cucumber Mask: Full size $2.00
This sheet mask contains cucumber to help soften & hydrate your skin.
Mediheal Tea Tree Mask: full Size $3.00
This sheet mask contains tee tree leaf oil for dissolving oil and killing bacteria causing acne. (this will be my next mask now that I’ve amped up my hydration.)
Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack: Full Size $15.00
This is another one of those fun Korean products, unique and quirky. While this is not something I’d have ever purchased, I’ve seen demos plenty on social media and knew all about the product. It was fun to try it out myself. It actually worked a lot better than I expected it to. It does taste kind of gross though so try and refrain from licking or tasting your lips! You simply apply this product carefully and evenly to your lips, let it dry for about 10 minutes and peel it off. Make sure you chose a shade you are certain you will like because this stuff is no joke. You will definitely get a long lasting lip stain from this product. Just try and get it off! haha. I suggest a lip scrub prior to staining as it will darken on any dry areas. If you have very dry/chapped lips I would steer clear altogether.

The (Deluxe) Samples
Box also included a couple deluxe sized sample products, one of which I’ve ordered in a full size already because it’s that amazing!
Banila Co Clean it Zero Balm: Deluxe Sample $2.00
This product is a pretty standard to K-Beauty, first step cleanser in the double cleanse process. It is designed to use first and then followed up by a water based cleanser. It has the firm wax looking appearance & consistency that melts in contact with your skin as it’s oil based. I do double cleanse and I did try this once but the oil based cleansers just do not work well with my skin, even if I follow with a water based cleanser. It always seems when I try to add one as a step, I get a break out pretty quickly. A lot of people love these b/c they help to quickly dissolve makeup. It simply doesn’t work for my finicky skin type…it’s like it’s the ‘one oil too many’ for my skin and to be fair there are only a couple oils I can use on my skin at all and they are very specialized formulas.
Benton Snail Bee Steam Cream: Deluxe Sample $2.00
This is a cream with a high content of the aforementioned snail secretion filtrate as well as bee venom to help soothe irritated skin, provide healthier cell generation, heal acne, brighten skin tone and provide deep hydration. It totally does all of these things for me and has been sort of a miracle cream for my skin. I’ve been using it in place of my night time moisturizer and had results after the very first use. I love that it eliminates my dry patches, improves allover hydration and not only does it not break me out it fades spots and redness. This is my new must have cream. It does feel a bit heavier and more sticky than most, especially after so many layers, but for night it is just fine. Highly recommended!
Last we have the accessory item..
Washing Hairband: $7.00 (colors/patterns vary)
I debut this fun little gem in some of my photos. It’s super soft and cute, great for keeping hair far from your face when washing & masking. It makes me feel young again… ❤
There you have it, the very first box from Love Pink ❤ Soul and I could not be more pleased with them thus far. I have high hopes for this little brand/company! I learned so many new things, tried new things and found some great new products that have greatly improved my skin and changed my approach to skin care.
