Popsugar Must Have May 2016

May Must Have is here.  I swear; receiving the little dose of Popsugar that is, the mini, makes it even harder to wait for this box’s arrival!  Just as last month, the mini wasn’t anything to write home about, but paired with the full sized box it’s the perfect little ‘booster pack’ to complete the theme. (I do really love that moisturizer though) Click here for my PSMH Mini review.

It’s no secret that I love PSMH, anticipating what the next box will bring, digging through my box upon arrival, trying everything, finding places in my home for others.  It is simply stated: a really fun box, with a little of everything. This particular box is no exception:

If you are new to the game Popsugar Must Have is a Monthly Lifestyle Subscription Box service, delivered to your door monthly for $39.95 (free shipping) and is valued at over $100.00.

*They also curate several 1 time purchase, luxury, limited edition boxes that are fabulous!

NEW  Popsugar has also recently launched their newest monthly addition ‘the mini’.  This version released its very first box last month, (April).  You can read my review for the first box and all about the subscription here!

Each Must Have box is filled with the best in fashion, beauty, home, fitness, food and more; curated by Popsugar Editor in Chief Lisa Sugar.  I personally adore this box and look forward to receiving it each month.  They may not hit it right on the mark, every time, for everyone but most of the time, for me; they do a really good job.  I really enjoy receiving such a wide variety of products in one sub box and I love the anticipation of such!  I generally like and use all of the products I receive yet in the event something does not suit me it is always something of quality that I can gift it to another.  PSMH works with many good, quality, relevant and on trend brands, many of them high end so it’s a great box for receiving tried and true products/brands as well as new products and up and comers!  2 words: Beauty Blender!! :)  Thinking of taking the plunge?  Check it out here!

The Box:

Popsugar Must Have May 2016

The Goods:

bluma project bracelet duo

Bluma Project Capri Bracelets (set of 2): Sugg. Retail $44.00

This is a set of two delicate, beaded bracelets with 24K Gold beads and mini tassels, handcrafted by Guatemalan artisans.  I love dainty bracelets and jewelry and adore these handmade versions.  I adore the little handmade bag they came in as well; which reminds me of the little worry doll sets I often made as a kid.  Link above is to the site and though it contains many nice handcrafted jewelry items;  I did not see a set like this one.  I suppose we will just have to take PSMH’s word for it on the value. 😉

Love these!

Foot Therapy Paraben free Foot treatment wrap

Kocostar Foot Therapy: Sugg Retail $10.00

A mask for muh’ feet!  Oh how they need this.  This is a wrap treatment for your feet designed to give you softer soles using natural, paraben-free botanical extracts.  What my feet really need, after years and years of bare feet, hot sand & flip-flops is one of those Korean foot treatments that essentially removes the entire ‘dead’ area of your feet’s skin entirely; but because the repulsion of it all has me more than just a bit hesitant;  I’ll give this little wrap treatment a go first.  I’m saving this little treat for Friday night, prior to the non-stop weekend I have in store for me, but I’ll update you with my thoughts afterward. 🙂 Product is made using paraben-free botanical extracts. ($9.50 at Nordstrom, free Shipping)

spongellé Spongeology buffer in milk and honey

Spongellé Spongology Body Buffer: Sugg. Retail $20.00

I love Spongellé products and was thrilled to find one in this box in a style & scent I’ve not yet tried.  This is a cleansing & exfoliating version and comes saturated with enough of the body wash product to last at least 20 washes.  The packaging for this is really nice and natural looking, coming in its own cute little pouch.  It’s just the type of product I enjoy having in my bathroom.  This particular buffer is available in two scents:  Milk & honey and Lavender & Eucalyptus.  My version is the fresh, light and sweet, not cloying, milk and honey.  Love the scent and the velvet-y lather.  Product is made with organic extracts and is sulfate-free.

Gaiam foldable yoga mat

Gaiam Foldable Yoga Mat: Sugg. Retail $24.98

This is a foldable alternative to the traditional rolled yoga mat design.  I do not go to any yoga classes; but I do own a yoga mat, with its own carrying case, which I use to roll out on to my hardwood floors in order to do the at home parts of my weekly workout regimen.  This was not something that I was too excited about as I figured it would be all creased and lay weird, the characteristics the rolling method deters ,but the product is perforated in its folding areas making for easy unfolding and re-folding and a mat that lays relatively well.  What I found to be the best quality of this mat style is its easier storage options and how it fits perfectly inside one of the little cubicle shelves in my master, allowing me to keep it in there discreetly without the clutter of another bulky object.  Not too shabby.  Product is currently on sale at Gaiam.com for $19.98.

Breathe Deeply Spritz

Happy Spritz Breathe Deeply: Sugg. Retail $25.00

I love facial mists, especially in the summer months and I love, LOVE this one.  I was already scoping out this brand’s site when I saw the spoiler and word of an added discount.  They have numerous types/scents as well as multi and multi mini sets.  This particular version is made up of peppermint & eucalyptus essential oils to invigorate and soothe the senses.  I can’t stop spraying my face and breathing in this mist.  Not only does it do wonders for your hot sweaty face, it’s helping my sinuses tolerate this never-ending allergy season.  I can’t wait to try more of these Happy Spritz sprays!

Jimmybar Clean Snack Bar Peanut Butter Clutter

Jimmybar Peanut Butter Clutter Clean Snack Bar: Sugg Retail $2.49

I love when I get a food item in my must have box that does not immediately prompt me to ruin my diet; when it actually tastes good too, it’s a real win.  This is one of those no sugar added, clean bars with the date-y texture and a really great peanut butter taste.  These may be more of an acquired taste, but I think they are great and will be checking out the multi pack boxes from the site above.  Also; I made mine lunch and that was a sufficient enough meal for me.

Special Extras:

hint caffeine kick

Hint Kick: Sugg. Retail $1.69

Yay for another fabulous ingestible item this month.  Fruit infused water + the addition of caffeine.  (60 mg, equivalent to a small cup of coffee.)  Afternoon pick me up while helping me increase my water intake.  Big win; and another product I’ll definitely repurchase.  Oh and yes, it tasted good, like water with a light fruit infusion.

Revlon volume + Length Magnified

Revlon Volume + Length Magnified Mascara: Sugg. Retail $8.99

Somewhat recently Revlon came out with this line, consisting of 5 different versions, with specific descriptions like: ultra volume, dramatic definition..etc.  I tried the ultimate all-in-one version, when they first launched and thought it was just ‘OK’.  This version promises both length and volume, ‘magnified’  I have yet to try this product as I have too many mascaras open that I need to use up.  Available at Target for $5.99!

30% off purchase on Spongellé & 25% off at Happy Spritz

This was a really great box.  The value is a little off due to some sale products & the unknown of the bracelet set..but it’s still good.  (around 128.00)  I’m using nearly everything in it; plus, I found several items I can’t wait to repurchase, to which I’m thankful for the discounts given as well!  For me, this equals a really successful May box.  Thoughts?
