Hey everyone! Welcome to another Glam Bag review!
This month’s theme is: Rebel Rebel
…and this bag totally speaks to me.
Below is a shot of my June bag:
Ipsy is a monthly subscription service. Each month, subscribers will receive an awesome Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month.
I have been a member for more than 3 years and I absolutely love it. I have discovered so many excellent products through Ipsy! I may not always love everything I receive but for only 10.00 a month it is such a fun surprise to look forward to each month! Ipsy spotlights numerous brands each month and you will generally receive something from 5 of them! In addition to the products received you will get discount codes from most brands…even the ones that you do not receive! This months’ discounts include but are not limited to: Biossance, Pacifica, Jersey Shore cosmetics, Smashbox, Peek Cosmetics, and many more, the discounts range between 10% -50% off purchase (averaging at 20-25%) and are occasionally a dollar amount. They sometimes include a gift with purchase.
Ipsy also offers curated sets and other products throughout the month that can be purchased at a special price! I LOVE THESE! Current set specials available are from: Juice Beauty & Mirabella.
Another perk is the point system. You can review your bag and items each month to save points for additional products!
Ipsy also has a giveaways section. Every month, you can win AMAZING hauls from their Glam Bag partners..and let me tell you there are SO many great ones each month…This month there are contest/giveaways from: Hey Honey, Urban Decay, The Balm, Patchology, Klorane, Rodial, Clarisea..and more!

The Goods:
The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Trimony: Eyeshadow Single Mini. Full Singles $5.50
The Balm is one of those brands that have grown on me. I once was annoyed over receiving these teeny little samples but each time I tried them, despite their tiny nature, I liked the products. I have so many of them now, it’s like I have a little kit. The packaging is fun and I like this shade which is really pigmented with a nice texture and finish.

Crown Brush 3 Tone Bronzer: Product is Full Size? $???
Unfortunately; as you can plainly see, this baby did not survive its trip here in the pink bubble mailer. I’m not really one to mess with a crumbling, destroyed product so I’m going to go ahead and dub this product review as: undecided. 😉
Here; you can kind of see the three tones. 😦
clariSEA Deep Pore Detox Activated Charcoal Exfoliating Mask: Deluxe Mini. Full Size is 4oz $18.00
I love a good masking product and these mix it yourself versions bring out the chemist in me. To mix; it is simply two parts mask, 1 part water. (tbs, 1/2 tbs) This mask is made of a mix of charcoal and kaolin clay, meant to draw out impurities from the pores, clear blackheads and decrease excess oil. This mask is meant for use once or twice a week and claims to reduce breakouts and heal existing breakouts more quickly, without the allover dry feeling that you get from similar treatments. I liked this mask and tend to agree, it did not make my face feel nearly as dry as similar treatments and it made for a good week end face detox.

Formula X Nail Polish in Wingwoman: Polish Mini. Full Size is $10.50
I own quite a few Formula X nail polishes and I like the formula of the polish, the ease of application and find it wears well with my favorite top coat. This shade, Wingwoman, is pretty fabulous, and fitting; as it is very female super hero. It’s kind of a hot magenta red and I totally dig it.

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Pout Potion: Product is Full size $14.00
be a bombshell; here is a brand that Ipsy has been using from the very beginning, more so in my first year than recently, but I have never been a fan of the brand. When I saw my bag content with this product, I liked the shades shown, so I remained hopeful. I received the shade ‘Secret’; a soft nude pink and I love it. The formula is pretty good too, it’s not your typical gloss, not too shiny, doesn’t wear right off. You can get pretty good coverage with it or apply a small amount, blot your lips together, and go for a more subtle look. Either way, it totally works for me.
I liked this month’s bag, a bummer about the bronzer, but I like all of the other products. The bag itself is really cool so I was looking forward to that alone. Definitely worth the 10 bucks.
