I have been a member for more than 3 years and I absolutely love it. I have discovered so many excellent products through Ipsy! I may not always love everything I receive but for only 10.00 a month it is such a fun surprise to look forward to each month! Ipsy spotlights numerous brands each month and you will generally receive something from 5 of them! In addition to the products received you will get discount codes from most brands…even the ones that you do not receive! This months’ discounts include but are not limited to: Juice Beauty, Brush Bar, BioRepublic, Rodial, Jouer, ColourPop and many more, the discounts range between 10% -50% off purchase (averaging at 20-25%) and are occasionally a dollar amount. They sometimes include a gift with purchase.

Mellow Cosmetics Baked Eyeshadow in Plum : Full Size $8.00
Another month..another plum-like eyeshadow single. I feel like a keep getting these. I do wear this shade often for a smokey look that isn’t black, I just have so many of them now. Though I’ve not heard of this brand prior; the eyeshadow itself is actually quite good. It has a very smooth texture, great pigment and no real fallout. It’s a baked eyeshadow and it’s a good size; so no complaints there. I have so many eyeshadow palettes that I just do not particularly care to receive eye shadow singles; unless, it is a new UD shade that I can pop in to one of my UD palettes or an excellent product I can de-pot and put in a magnetic palette. I do dig this formula though and b/c this shade works well for me I may get some use out of it as long as I do not toss it in my ‘singles’ drawer….

Eva NYC Get Glossed Hair Serum: Deluxe Sample. Full Size is $14.99
I’ve received samples of many products from Eva NYC and they are pretty good products that help smooth and repair my dry hair. I really like the hair oil. This version is a serum and it helps get my hair looking a bit more sleek when straightening. Solid product.
Make up For ever Excessive Lash: Deluxe Mini Full Size is $25.00
I like Make Up For Ever products; they have fabulous primers, foundations and other products; but their mascaras have never been a hit with me. Smoky Lash always left my lashes damp throughout the day, leaving lash marks on my lids and did not do anything spectacular for my lashes. This formula was the opposite, too dry, really dry. I’m not sure if it was just my sample or if it’s always that dry, but it made my lashes pretty flaky when trying to add enough coats to get the look I prefer. The brush is a small, short multi bristle type, designed for coating lots of lashes. The mascara worked OK for bottom lashes. I’m pretty picky about mascara; there are so many good ones out there, and it seems that MUF is just not the mascara brand [for me].
Skyn Iceland The Antidote Cooling Lotion: Deluxe Mini. Full Size is $45.00
This lightweight gel type moisturizer is perfect for summer and feels oh so fabulous on! The cooling sensations feels so refreshing after my morning face wash and I love that when I put my makeup on later in the morning it re-activates the cooling sensation on my skin. I think this is the perfect amount of day time moisture for those with combo to oily skin and it seems to calm mine as well. It may not be the best product for those with very dry or very sensitive skin types.
Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Small Angled Eye Brush: One Brush $10.00
…and my Luxie Beauty, Brush Collection grows. This is probably the most matching brushes I’ve ever owned from one collection. These brushes look nice, are of good quality and have all worked well for me. I suppose I have enough of them now to designate to them their very own brush holder.
Not a bad bag this month, I’d have picked mostly different items for myself from the selection of products this month…but good stuff nonetheless,
