Winky lux Diamond Powder

Winky Lux Diamond Complexion Powder:  Deluxe Sample Size.  Full Size $20.00

I had not heard of this brand prior to now but it seems like a cool little company.  This powder is designed to give skin a filtered finish, while finely crushed diamonds illuminate your skin, and imperfections are diffused.   This powder is buildable and lightweight.  I really did not expect to like this product.  The only powders I ever use are the very finely milled, translucent lose powders, and a very light dusting at that.  Powders, to me, typically accentuate a lot of flaws and can make your face look cakey and makeup feel heavy.  This powder was light and smooth and it made my skin look the same.  I did not have to blot or reapply all day, either.  I received the shade light…which is very light but you can blend it in to your skin fairly easily.  I’d have preferred medium but can make it work.  I’d describe the shade as: light with a yellow undertone.

in transit camera closeup this works

ThisWorks In Transit Camera Close-Up: Deluxe Sample.  Full Size $55.00

This is a multi-tasking product described as a mask, moisturizer and primer.  It’s designed to instantly plump and brighten your skin.   This product is complete with an antioxidant blend designed for anti-aging with hydrating Hyaluronic Acid and calming Vitamin E and contains and SPF of 30 plus long lasting hydration.  It also has a bit of caffeine in it for an anti-fatigue effect.  I really loved this product.  It really is the perfect multi tasker and my skin actually likes it.  It’s an excellent primer and gives skin enough hydration to skip a separate moisturizer (on my normal to combo skin.)  It feels light, absorbs well and has a light, refreshing feel and coinciding herbal scent.  It kept my makeup looking fresh all day and my skin looking great.  Nice product.

Peter Lamas Supreme radiance enhancer

Peter Lamas Supreme Radiance Complexion Booster:  Deluxe Sample.  full Size $44.00

This product is also a major multi tasker.  This lightly-tinted and ultra sheer skin booster is designed to brighten up your skin.  It is formulated with Retinol + Salicylic Acid; to aid in diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, contains light reflecting minerals for instant radiance with coenzme Q-10 and vitamin E to hydrate, smooth and protect skin.  I was shocked to see the very dark brown shade of this product when I dispensed it on to my finger..and to find the consistency similar to a pore diminishing primer.  The shade is totally sheer though and only kicks up your complexion a notch while giving it a softer, more smooth appearance.  It smells a touch odd, but nothing repulsive and I liked the way it looked on my skin. With all of the fantastic ingredients in this, it’s one I will want to continue using to see how it does for my skin over time.  Very cool product.

Waterproof gel liner IT Cosmetics

IT Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Gel Eyeliner:  Dulxe Mini.  Full size $22.00

Another day, another black eyeliner.. This IT Cosmetics eyeliner is a gel type, designed to smoothly glide over your eye lids and has a highly waterproof formula.  (just make sure you let it set first.)  It works well for waterlining/tightlining with its irritant free formula, complete with anti-aging ingredients.  But for me, once the pointed tip of this automatic style liner is dull; it’s a bit thick for my preference.  If they ever make a skinny version; I’m all over it.  I do love this brand though, which creates products for all the ‘fixes’ you will need!

Beau Gachis Makeup blender

Beau Gachis Paris Pro Series Applicator Sponge:  One Sponge.  Comes as a duo $23.00

This is a latex free sponge cosmetic applicator.  The best way I know how to describe and review this would be to compare it to the ‘beauty blender’  It has the same tear drop shape that makes it easy to apply foundation to all of your facial contours.  The sponge itself is a bit more stiff and springy.  It does not seem to absorb as much of your product but product sits on the sponge more..and applies in a way that your foundation sits on your skin more than rubbing in to your skin.  When damp I felt like it didn’t allow product to remain on my skin easily though.  I think it might not blend additional products (contour, highlight) in as easily as bb either..but it’s totally fine for foundation application.  Not bad.

I received some interesting new products this month; new to me brands and some I’m only slightly acquainted with.  I enjoy trying things I’d typically not know about and I like the black cosmetic blender.  I never purchase any other than beauty blenders myself, so I am glad I’ve gotten to try an alternative to those.

It was an interesting one, wasn’t it? I really like that 3 in 1 primer stuff…allegedly Victoria Beckham is a fan of the brand and the primer. 😉 The Peter Lamas is pretty cool as well!

Well, we have two but they both are around 50 dollars and you get like 7 drugstore products each month. So obviously I’m not a subscriber for them.

Whoa! That is pretty steep! [especially for a drugstore type box] I get one monthly sub that is $40.00 total…but its high end life style items from many categories and the value is over $100.00 and up to $200.00… Maybe you should start a business 😉
