Wantable Accessories October 2016

Hey beauties!

Today I will be reviewing my Wantable Accessories collection for October.

If you are new to Wantable it is a subscription box company with many different box options. Beauty, accessories, intimates and two style Edits featuring fitness and fashion as well.  I subscribe to their accessories collection and will be reviewing my May box!

Wantable is great b/c it is truly tailored to your likes/needs and they do an excellent job of curating the perfect items for each individual based on their personal likes and dislikes.  Plus, if they get it wrong, you can return.

Heres how it works:

1. Answer some quick survey questions so Wantable can match you with your perfect pieces.

2. Receive 4 accessory pieces picked for you by your Wantable in-house stylist each month.

3. Keep what you love, return what you don’t! *Join Wantable*

This year;  Wantable released their own stream;  It’s a bit like Instagram for Wantable only with more options!  This feed is a great way to browse products that others are receiving from the various Wantable Collections and Edits.  You can create a quick profile and add photos of your own while easily tagging each product. There is a stream catered to what Wantable thinks you may like as well as a trending stream.  The feed also has a ‘my closet’ tab and it includes every product you have received from Wantable.  The best part of this feed [for me] is that you may now request a specific item with just one click.  Love this! These products will then be moved to your wish list tab as reference for your stylist!  This Stream is really easy to use!  wantable.com/stream

I have had nothing but excellent experience with this company.  The stylists do such a great job fitting your products to your style. The initial survey is really personalized and unlike beauty subscriptions they adhere completely to giving you ONLY things you want and none of what you do not.  I’ve been a subscriber for over 2 years and though the first couple months were so-so with their picks for me, after I had reviewed my boxes and added input they got better and better and excellent!  The customer service is wonderful and everyone is so personable, reply to emails with friendly notes and the brand is very active on social media.  I have never had a bad experience with anyone at this company and can’t say enough nice things about them!  Anyone else a subscriber?  What has your experience been like?

Wantable also hosts a photo Friday contest.  Snap a photo of your latest collection, (or something in it) and post to the stream and/or Instagram.  Winners get their next box free!  I won some time last month (for the second time!) with a photo from my January Collection and received my February collection for free!  I also won, for a 3rd time with a photo of my April collection.  Another free box!  Woot!!!

Beginning March of 2016  Wantable sent out an email that they have added small bags (clutches, wallets) as an option in their accessories collection.  Of course, just as you can with all other options they have in their collection; you can chose to opt in or out of this specific product in your preferences.  I immediately went in and selected ‘love’ in this new category and received a wristlet/wallet in my March box.

My October Collection:

wantable-october-collection

The above photo shows all 5 of the pieces that I received in my October collection, based on my preferences.

For those of you who are curious what I chose as my preferences I will include them below:

Loves: Sunglasses, Rings, Necklaces, Bracelets, Earrings, Silver tone, Multi tone, Boho, Scarves, Clutches/Wallets

Likes: Gold tone, classic, Mix’n match,Rock ‘n Roll, Watches

Dislikes: Hair accessories, Glam

You can change your preferences as often as you like to tweak what you receive; or say, if you only want scarves in the cooler months, start accumulating too much of a certain item…and so on.  You can also requests specific styles and types of accessories and if they have it they make it happen!  (now easier with Wantable Stream where you can request an exact item with one simple click) I really enjoy this subscription!

Looks:

The individual pieces:

fara-bracelet-silver-wantable

The Fara Bracelet is an adjustable Silver cuff that is light on the wrist and easy to wear; going with most anything.  I wasn’t sure of it at first and still, when I look at it on its own, I think:  What is this center design?  It looks like chopsticks…why…but it looks really cute when it is worn and as I said: easy to wear, and I like that.

wantable-taylor-ring

The Taylor ring is a branded item, one I have never heard of;  Criscera, and while you may be unable to tell from the photograph it looks and feels like a higher quality piece of jewelry.  The metal has just the right shine to it, it’s very smooth and sleek and it is a bit heavier than a standard costume ring such as this.  It’s a simple piece, and again, really easy to wear.

wantable-raee-earrings

The Raee earring are a simple drop style with an ultra light rose faceted stone, set in silver.  They are a pretty similar in style to the accessories I received last month.  Cute enough, go with plenty and add a nice little touch to your lobes.

wantable-marla-wallet-black

The Marla Wallet is black with a cute polka dot allover print.  This is the third wallet I have received via Wantable and each time I receive one I empty out the old and transfer it to the new.  The last one I received was a summery teal with gold detail so it was a nice switch out for fall.  Nothing super special but it’s cute and I like looking at something different after a while.  The inside is the same as all of the others; plenty of space for too many cards…plus your cash and coins in a small zippered center pocket.

A look inside

greta-sunglasses

The Greta shades look pretty cheap-y up super close but not so bad on…it’s just the side detailing that isn’t done the best.  This being said; they look cute on and if they were not so oversized, I’d probably wear them more.  They do not look really oversized in the photo but they are really tall.  They take up my whole face and while I DO love oversized sunglasses, I also like having eyebrows.  These swallow me up.  On another hand; these will be my go-to pair in the event I must leave the house and absolutely should not be leaving the house [looking like this] sunglasses! HA!

So this was not my favorite month but I switched out my wallet and I have worn the bracelet and ring several times each; so not bad…it just felt a bit drab for whatever reason.  I did; like last month have a message from my stylist; Lauren, about including a bonus item, so for a second month in a row; I received 5 items as opposed to 4.  Hopefully this will remain a trend because now I am getting used to it 😉

  1. Super cute stuff. I tried the Wantable makeup sub last year and I didn’t care for it. But this box looks great and it sounds like you get more input into what they will send (which I really like). I’ll have to take another look. I really need to expand on my accessories too. This could be just the thing!

    1. Yes. I have subscribed to this one for a really long time; years. When I found it I had been seeking a makeup sub but ultimately went with Glossybox, as I was not a fan of the brands Wantable seemed to cling to…but I found this! My hubs keeps me well stocked on fine jewelry but I never did much shopping for trendy accessories unless there was some ‘it’ item that I really had to have. PSMH and their special editions as well as Rachel Zoe’s box of style have kept me up on some accessory trends from some trendy and/or higher end brands..but it’s nice to have frequent inexpensive ‘of the moment’ pieces that I can toss on and cycle out when it’s time without feeling bad about it. And you’re right; it’s a very personalized subscription. You can flat out nix anything you do not want to receive and you won’t ever get those things..if you only want to receive a few different types of items, or one metal tone…you can do that too. You can also change it every month if you want, leave notes for your ‘stylist’ with suggestions of style types and request exact items you see. My experience with Wantable on a customer service/company itself level has been great too. They are very personable, interact on Social and really work hard to get you the things you will love.

      1. I think I’m going to try the accessory sub box. I wasn’t thrilled with the brands in the makeup box either and that’s why I discontinued it but I never tried their other options. This really looks great. I am the worst ever at keeping up on accessories. I’m too busy with makeup, hair stuff, and general life – can’t do it all. But with a box that is actually sending good, trendy, in style stuff – (that’s not 99 cents made in China) is a great solution for me!

      2. Totally agree. That is precisely why I subscribed and have hung on to it for so long. Each month I usually get a couple of items that I wear constantly during that month. I’m a fan of receiving the cuff style bracelets; they are so easy to wear, add a great touch to your look and do not bog you down in any way. They’ve sent some nice scarves too; but between years of this, PSMH and LE boxes…I could open a scarf boutique in my master, (yet I can’t seems to ever let any of them go!) 😉 Good Luck! I had to play around with my style preferences and picks a bit, tell them a few things that I did not like..but after a couple of months they really got it right and I am happy with my selections pretty consistently. I do hope that you enjoy it!
