The Jan/Feb edition of Pink Seoul has arrived and I’ve been diligently testing away! Pink Seoul is a K-beauty (Korean Beauty) company that launched in March of 2016. I am always so excited to see what the next Pink Seoul Box will bring and I’m constantly falling in love with new products, many which I’ve inserted in to my nightly routine and have had some really positive results. This particular beauty sub boasts many great aspects in addition to the fabulous products that they send each month. What sealed it for me is your ability to customize the box based on your skin (and they actually follow it, it’s not just a mere ‘suggestion’ like with Birchbox and Ipsy) So; no more receiving strange shades that don’t fit your skin color, products for oily skin when yours is dry..etc etc. On top of the customizing option for each box they also have several different box options to choose from, including the popular bi-monthly choice with full-sized products. (this is what I currently subscribe to.) They also have a monthly mask box (not just sheet masks) and a box tailored to 35+ (I think this is a first, right?) All excellent options! Commitment phobe? They also have some nice one time purchase, specially curated boxes and many individual items that have been spotlighted in their boxes. Because I missed my December reviews…and I do not want you to miss out on viewing any of the fabulous content, I’ve included a photo of my Nov/Dec Pink Seoul box, at the end of this review. xx

The Box:
The Goods:
These hydrogel patches are infused with black pearl and gold powder to help rejuvenate and soften your skin. I’ve used some sort of under eye gel patch nearly every morning since first trying them. They smooth and brighten my under eye area a bit, but mostly they help wake me up and make me feel refreshed. I store mine in the fridge for an extra cooling and refreshing feeling. While I have used this version in the past, it was the standard under eye version. These have circular spot patches in the center of the tub, which I have been slapping on my smile lines. Because these are divided up in to under eye and spot patch types, the version designed for under your eyes do not have the shape and contour I prefer. They work, and I will use them up, but I like the standard versions much better. I assume most others agree as you can snag this version from Amazon for $8.88, link provided above.
A closer look…
This AHA/BHA toner from Manyo factory provides gentle exfoliation; fortified with Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Papaya Enzymes, Centella Asiatica and Witch Hazel, skin is left nourished and refreshed. It’s also designed to help maintain the skin’s optimum pH levels and controls excess sebum for luminous results. I use several Manyo Factory products and have really liked everything I’ve tried from the brand, so I was excited to see this in the box. While I’ve not had an extended amount of time to use the product, I am liking it so far. I’ve not noticed any major benefit yet, but it tends to be that way with most toners. (once you have used similar types for some time) I typically only notice if I do not use one, or if I try one my skin doesn’t like. I do love the spray bottle design. As far as pricing on this item goes, it was actually the highest from Amazon, at nearly $30.00. I found it for $17.00 from memebox, link provided above.

This is a lightweight Gel-Cream designed to hydrate and brighten your skin. These moisturizer types are good for all skin types, but are a great option for those with oily and/or acne prone skin. I love the light and refreshing feel of this moisturizer and that I can layer it with other moisturizing products ,without the worries that come with heavier products, I fear will clog my pores and break me out. $10.00 seems to be the going rate for this product (in this size) everywhere I found it.

This is a lip scrub containing ginger, orange oil, 20% sugar, walnut shells and shea butter, formulated without synthetic fragrance or artificial coloring. I hoped for this to have a spicy ginger scent but it does not have much of a scent at all, really. It’s not a very abrasive scrub either, but has all of the components of your standard lip treatment. I have been using it as a scrub but leaving it on afterward, as there is not an abundance of scrubby particles left behind. You can pick this up for $9.00 on amazon, link provided above.
I’ve had these cleansing cloths several times, and I like them. They are great for travel and perfect for removing heavier makeup prior to your cleansing routine. They are also nice for cleaning up eye makeup that might hang around the eye area after cleansing. They do not irritate my skin and feel light and fresh. This 20 pack runs at $2-5.00, but you can get the full sized 80 sheet pack for $9.00 from amazon.
The Sheet Masks:
This sheet mask has been harder to find at places I typically shop for Asian Beauty Products, and have been about $3.50 -$5.00 each at other places or you can get a pack of 10 for $11.00 from Amazon. I really liked this one too. It was medium thick, soft, with great adherence and a good fit. It had plenty of essence and additional essence left in the packet. The scent was that of the telltale ginseng and it left my skin soft and bouncy, not sticky, making it a mask I could also use in the morning.
I always like the Nature Republic, Real Nature Sheet Masks as they are a pretty solid mask. The rose is actually one I had not tried yet so I was glad I received this type. It smells of natural roses and not synthetic or too perfume-y. It was a nice soothing mask with an enjoyable scent that offered a bit of hydration. I’d use it again.
The accessory item:
I have an eyelash curler, but this one from Clio Professional looks nice enough. If ever needed, I have a spare. 🙂
The Samples:
This was a light, fresh, thin, gel-like mask that smelled of sweet watermelon. It was rather enjoyable, really. It was lightly hydrating, soothing and cooling. It would be a nice mask for summer. You can get the full sized product for around $10.00
This is a lightweight, hydrating emulsion, made with honey. It’s light but moisturizing, and skin softening. Honey products typically work well on my skin. Full size is $26.00.
November/December Box:
I LOVED the enzyme powder wash from this box. It’s fabulous and because it is not a liquid, it’s great for travel!
I thoroughly enjoy trying new and unique brands and concepts.
Pink Seoul does a stellar job of putting their boxes together and providing excellent tips and info. Even figuring the lowest prices I found, the value of this box was still a solid $60.00. Works for me. 🙂
